Cassidy Announces $53.7 Million in Disaster Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced Louisiana will receive $53,677,645.86 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief.

“The devastation of Laura and Ida left a mark on our coast, but our families remain resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “The funding helps South Louisiana rebuild stronger.” 

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, and the Terrebonne Parish School Board will all benefit from this funding.
