WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive a total of $2,396,936.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The federal funding will go towards the elevation of 11 properties in Tangipahoa Parish.
“Storms are a part of life for our communities in South Louisiana, but flooding doesn’t have to be,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This grant will significantly reduce the risk of flooding and prepare families for the future.”
