Cassidy Announces $6 Million in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will grant Louisiana a total of $6,040,510.15 in Hurricane Ida relief. Specifically, the funding will reimburse Tangipahoa Parish, the Louisiana Nation Guard, and Ascension Parish Sheriff Department for costs related to the emergency response in the wake of Hurricane Ida.  

“Families in Louisiana are still recovering after Hurricane Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding is an important step towards getting our state back on its feet.”

This grant will provide reimbursement for search and rescue operations, emergency medical care, and more.

This grant will provide reimbursement for emergency protective measures and 75,000 meals in the wake of Hurricane Ida. 

$1,043,372.64

Ascension Parish Sheriff Department 

This grant will provide reimbursement for labor, equipment, and materials for emergency protective measures in the wake of Hurricane Ida.
