LAKE CHARLES – Today,U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) addressed the 2025 LegisGator Luncheon, where he spoke about the economic progress being made in the region.
“Southwest Louisiana’s economy is strong,” said Dr. Cassidy. “By lowering taxes, President Trump’s One, Big, Beautiful Bill will make it stronger. That’s great news.”
Cassidy’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act has delivered millions of dollars toward replacing the Calcasieu River Bridge, improving Lake Charles’ airports and water, and providing hurricane protection for the region.
Cassidy was welcomed to LegisGator by Mr. Scott Walker, President and CEO of the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance.
