Cassidy Announces $17 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Ida, Flood Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $17,041,367.95 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida and flood relief. The city of New Orleans will receive $14,004,936.90 for permanent repairs to the Municipal Traffic and Courts Building as a result of Hurricane Ida. The Sabine River Authority will receive $3,036,431.05 for damages as a result of severe storms and flooding.

“Louisiana is stronger than any storm,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will aid repairs and help our communities prepare for future storms.”
