Cassidy Announces $25.2 Million in Hurricane Laura Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $25,165,911.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Laura relief. Specifically, this funding will go to repairing the West Calcasieu Port and medical facilities that were damaged in the storm. 

“Louisiana’s coast was battered by Hurricane Laura, but our families remain strong,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our critical industries in Southwest Louisiana recover and be prepared for the next natural disaster.”
