WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) today announced that Alexandria International Airport will receive a total of $700,000 from his bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This funding will go specifically towards the replacement of the airport’s air traffic control equipment. With this grant, Louisiana airports have received a total of $44,089,010 in IIJA funding.
“Communities across Louisiana are seeing the positive impact of the bipartisan infrastructure law,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding improves Alexandria’s airport and makes the region more attractive for new investment.”
