Cassidy Announces $9.4 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $9,443,947.91 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricane Ida relief. Lafourche Parish Hospital Service District will receive $2,502,080.10 for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida. Dixie Electric Membership Corporation (DEMCO) will receive $6,941,867.81 for line and facility repairs as a result of Hurricane Ida.

“Louisiana’s ongoing recovery from Hurricane Ida is a testament to our resilience,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding helps rebuild our communities and makes sure we are better prepared to weather the next storm.”
