WASHINGTON – At today’s U.S. Senate Finance Committee hearing, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) underscored the importance of delivering President Trump’s mission to restore radical transparency at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to protect children’s health.
At the hearing, Cassidy spoke with HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the importance of President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, which the President calls “one of the greatest achievements ever.”
“President Trump deserves a Nobel Prize for Operation Warp Speed,” said Dr. Cassidy. “Because of Operation Warp Speed, forcing the federal government to come to a vaccine development within ten months when others said it couldn’t be done, we saved millions of lives globally, trillions of dollars, we reopened the economy—incredible accomplishment.”
Secretary Kennedy said he agrees that President Trump should receive a Nobel Prize for Operation Warp Speed.
“I’m approaching this as a doctor, not as a senator. I am concerned about children’s health, seniors’ health, all of our health. And I applaud you for joining the President in a call for radical transparency,” continued Dr. Cassidy.
