Cassidy Commends Keystone XL Construction Permit Authorization
WASHINGTON—Today, US Senator Bill Cassidy, MD (R-LA) released a statement following the Trump administration’s permit authorization for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
Senator Cassidy was an early advocate for the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. In 2014, then Congressman Cassidy introduced the Keystone XL authorization bill HR 5682, which passed the US House of Representatives. To read that legislation, click here.
“Increasing our energy infrastructure creates well-paying jobs and brings increased revenue to state and local governments,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This approval of the Keystone XL pipeline backs up President Trump’s commitment to fulfill the promises made to the American people.”
