Cassidy Disappointed in Senate Democrats’ Support of Iran Deal

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. released the following statement on news that the president has secured enough support from Senate Democrats that will allow him to protect his deal with Iran:

America’s safety and security should never be compromised. The Supreme Leader of Iran recently said that Iran feels free to pursue the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles once this agreement is made. There can only be one target Iran is thinking of for these missiles, and that is the United States. For this, and other reasons I continue to oppose this agreement.
