WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) appeared today on Fox News’ The Story with Martha MacCallum to discuss his working lunch this afternoon with President Trump at the White House, where Senate Republicans discussed working together to end the Schumer Shutdown.
“I think for the President it has been easier to negotiate with Hamas than it has been with Chuck Schumer. We need an end to the shutdown. Let’s get to work,” said Dr. Cassidy.
“The President was gracious as always,” continued Dr. Cassidy. “Connecting with the President about how we go forward was the most important thing we did.”
