I looked at the evidence gathered by the FBI for folks named by Dr. Ford and Mrs. Ramirez. In every case, the person either refuted the claim or had no remembrance. You have to go with the preponderance of evidence. I look forward to Judge Kavanaugh becoming Justice Kavanaugh. pic.twitter.com/Y2RVZGxkNQ

WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), released the following video statement after voting to advance Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. The final vote is expected Saturday.
“Brett Kavanaugh is on his way to being a Supreme Court justice. Yesterday afternoon, I looked at all the evidence gathered by the FBI for the folks named by Dr. Ford and Mrs. Ramirez as corroborating their claims that Judge Kavanaugh may have done something 36 years ago or two decades ago. In every case, the person named by Dr. Ford or Mrs. Ramirez either refuted the claim, said it could not happen or had no remembrance,” said Dr. Cassidy. “You have to go with the preponderance of evidence, particularly for someone who’s lived his life beyond reproach as a judge on the D.C Circuit Court, showing excellent temperament as a judge. I look forward to Judge Kavanaugh becoming Justice Kavanaugh. I feel like our country will be well served.”
